In order to facilitate uniting USS Thresher Family & Former Crew, Submarine Veterans and former NAVSEA employees, two travel packages are being offered by Capital Tours. Both tours feature hotel accommodations for two nights (9/25 & 9/26), four meals, a tour of DC the morning of 9/26, and local transportation. One of the packages includes a long haul bus trip that originates in Portsmouth, NH with stops in Groton, CT and the Meadowlands, NJ, outside of NYC.

Buses will depart at 0700 on Wednesday, September 25 from Portsmouth, NH with stops in Groton, CT & the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ.

 

The package includes long-haul bus transportation, your choice of two hotels, four meals, a guided tour of Washington, DC on Thursday morning prior to the dedication ceremony and transportation to and from the dedication ceremony and reception.

 

The buses will depart Washington, DC at 0830 on Friday morning, September 27 after breakfast.

 

Prices for the all-inclusive bus trip for those selecting the 3-star Courtyard by Marriott Arlington Crystal City/Reagan National Airport are $531 per person double occupancy & $749 per person single occupancy.

 

Prices for the all-inclusive bus trip for those selecting the 2-star Comfort Inn Pentagon City are $473 per person double occupancy and $633 per person single occupancy.

No Bus Tour Package

 

Capital Tours is offering the option for those not taking the all-inclusive bus trip to stay at the same two hotels, dine with those taking the bus trip, attend the Tour of DC on Thursday morning and be driven to/from ANC for the dedication ceremony and reception.

 

The package includes your choice of two hotels, four meals, a guided tour of Washington, DC on Thursday morning prior to the dedication ceremony and transportation to and from the dedication ceremony and reception.

 

Prices for the no-bus trip tour package option for the 3-star Courtyard by Marriott Arlington Crystal City/Reagan National Airport are $451 per person double occupancy & $669 per person single occupancy.

 

Prices for the no-bus trip tour package option for the 2-star Comfort Inn Pentagon City are $393 per person double occupancy and $553 per person single occupancy.
